Artists Corner

Welcome to the Artists Corner

If you are an artisan or artist, novice or professional, we want to hear from you! This winter we are reaching out to communities to contribute their artistry to our project, “Empowering Senior Communities Through Art & Self-Care”. Read on to find out how you can be a part of our community and contribute to the Artists Corner to improve awareness and resiliency in cognitive wellness and self-care.

Are You an Artist or Artisan?

Novice or Expert, Artist or Artisan we want to hear from you. Send in your Art to be featured in our Artists Corner to bring awareness to communities on the importance of Art and its contributions to cognitive and emotional wellness.

Whether you are a painter, sculptor, photographer, musician, knitter, quilter, baker, or a performance artist such as a dancer or actor; we want to feature you and your story. You don’t need to be an expert; if Art is a hobby, we want to hear from you! Send in your jpeg file or photograph of what you want to share from your collection or your current working project to info@careiscanada.com with a brief description on the Art you are contributing. Your art will be featured to our community through our website and media platforms. We welcome any additional information about your artistry, your story and why Art is important to you.

How much you contribute is completely up to you! If you want to send in your Art with a title and Name and nothing else that is appreciated as well!

For those wanting to be featured we will connect with you directly to interview you and invite you to an online story workshop and to connect to other artists. The purpose of these workshops is to share the context on your artistry and story, how you came to appreciate art, what it has done for you in your journey and what your piece speaks to while also connecting with other artists. Our team of volunteers will be writing your article for you to be featured in our newsletter and through our social media alongside your art. Some topic question examples may be; How did you become an artist? Why is Art significant to Your Life, How has Art helped you in Your Journey?, Tell us Why this piece was Shared…

Our hope is to bring awareness and connection to the importance Art and community bring to Self-care practices while supporting the inclusion of senior communities during the Fall and Winter months.
