Our story

- 2020-Granted Funding by the Government of Canada's New Horizons Seniors Program
- 2021- granted funding by the government of canada's Summer jobs program
With funding from the government of Canada’s New Horizon’s for Senior’s Program led by the Canadian Association for Resources in Education & Impact in Self Care (CAREis), communities in the province of Alberta and across our nation are offered the support of our workshops and trainings to those who are most vulnerable to the health, social, and economic impacts of COVID-19.
Our workshops are dedicated to serving our senior communities to enhance individual wellness through connection and self care. We offer workshops that allow people access to explore and develop resiliency in their personal health journey during these challenging times. If you are 60+, all of our workshops are free. Join our series on self care that can be taken in part or all together OR Register for any of our educational health seminars. These seminars are OPEN to ALL, Pre-registration is available now.
Our PenPal Project will connect seniors to eachother by creating opportunites to engage, share and communicate during these challenging times. Currently, we are accepting submissions of Art from our communities in high resolution pdf to info@careiscanada.com for a chance to be featured in our PenPal Project. More details to come!
